Training and background
Dr Uceda underwent postgraduate training in General Pathology, Ocular Pathology and
Ophthalmology from 1995 to 2001, both in the United States (Howard University, Washington DC.) and Spain (Virgen del Rocio University Hospital, Seville and Instituto de Oftalmobiologia at the University of Valladolid, Spain).
He is a fully trained Ophthalmologist who has undergone additional specialist training in laser eye surgery.
In 2014 he was awarded the prestigious Certificate in Laser Refractive Surgery by the Royal
College of Ophthalmologists in the UK.
Dr Uceda is a highly experienced Ophthalmic Surgeon that has practiced in private and public sectors of Spain, UK and Ireland before relocating to Marbella. He has performed more than
17,000 procedures, including LASIK, Cataract and Refractive Lens Exchange treatments.
